Your Source for Prescription Contact Lenses

Prescription Contact Lenses

Contact lenses correct your vision and are easy to wear. Choosing the contact lenses that are right for you depends on your vision and comfort. There are many types of contacts to suit almost anyone. Types of contact lenses include:

Contact Lenses for Nearsighted/Farsighted

For a nearsighted person, close objects are clear, but distant objects are blurred and difficult to distinguish. Almost the opposite, for a farsighted person, distant objects may be clear but up close objects may appear blurry.

Explore your choices then ask your eye care professional if bifocal or monovision contact lenses are right for you.

Soft Contact Lenses:

The most frequently prescribed due to their tremendous comfort. Soft contacts are now available for patients with astigmatism, dry eyes and can even change the color of your eyes. Soft contact lenses include:

  • Daily Wear: can be worn every day but must be removed and cleaned at night
  • Extended Wear: can be worn on a more flexible schedule than daily wear
  • Disposable: meant to be worn for a short time and then discarded
  • Color-Changing: can change the color of your eyes even if vision correction is not needed

Hard Contact Lenses:

Also sometimes called rigid or gas-permeable lenses, hard contact lenses offer sharper vision and can correct severe nearsightedness or astigmatism, but are less comfortable at first than soft contact lenses.

We carry a large selection of contact lenses. If there is a specific manufacturer that you are looking for, please call our office. In addition, Walmart Vision Centers are affiliated with 1-800-CONTACTS to make it easy and fast to order contacts. You can order contacts from the Walmart Vision Center or from the comfort of your home, and your contacts can be delivered to your home in just a few days.

Below are links for some of the manufacturers that we carry as well as a few informative videos about contact lenses.
